The Bauteilkatalog is a dynamic online catalog for the analysis and configuration of building components, developed within the Swiss Building Technology research program. Based on data from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (BFE) and eco-bau, it serves as a modern replacement for the SIA Documentation D0 123.
Users can select construction types such as double-layer masonry and dynamically adjust materials or layer thicknesses to explore different design options. With each modification, the tool instantly calculates and displays the corresponding U-value and key ecological indicators, both numerically and graphically.
The database integrates verified sources, including the former U-value calculation catalog for new buildings from BFE and life cycle assessment data from KBOB and eco-bau recommendations. Supported by EnergieSchweiz and developed by Holliger Consult GmbH, Bauteilkatalog offers BASIC and PRO versions, providing architects, engineers, and planners with an accessible and up-to-date resource for evaluating the thermal and environmental performance of building envelope constructions.
