By zooming into a location or entering an address, users can mark buildings, upload photos, and provide relevant details. Confidential information can also be shared securely to enhance research efforts. All submitted data and images are published on abriss-atlas.ch, creating a transparent and publicly accessible database.
The initiative aims to quantify and analyze demolitions, their causes, and their consequences. Unlike conversions and renovations, demolitions in Switzerland often bypass rigorous permitting processes, leaving significant gaps in public knowledge.
